We are blessed to have such highly trained, competent, fun, caring staff here to serve!
Krysta Wetzel, RDH, Executive Director
Having worked in the dental field since age 15, Krysta has a broad understanding of the field. She is bilingual and has worked in private dental practice management, as a volunteer and coordinator for community clinics, dental assisting, dental hygiene, dental laboratory, teaching and has spent nearly 2 years in Central America serving in the dental field. She is a passionate director who truly cares about people and relationships. Getting to be a part of ADC is getting to put my faith in action with my career. "I'm here because I love the ADC model of caring for those in the gap. It's easy to relate to the challenges. I cannot promise my staff competitive pay but I can promise the best work environment! It's important, not just for staff, but patients can feel the difference too when you are enjoying your work." Krysta is a mom of 4 and enjoys watching and playing basketball and soccer. She became a runner to participate in the ADC Madison Marathon fundraiser in 2018 and 2019. Contact: email@example.com
Tim Buck, ADC Founder
With a seminary degree and background in marriage and family counseling, Tim spent nearly 44 years in dental sales before retiring and founding ADC with a goal to take his knowledge of the field and use it to lovingly serve those in need based on the Jesus model of caring for both spiritual and physical needs of our neighbors. Tim founded ADC in late 2009 in Whitewater, WI and also served on the board of directors which later voted to merge the Whitewater location with the Madison location in order to provide ample parking, handicap accessibility and preserve greatly reduced treatment fees by combining clinic resources. Officially retired in 2019, Tim remains an Emeritus board member and monthly supporter to Affordable Dental Care.
Sylvie Hauser, Outreach Director -AmeriCorps VISTA Intern
Sylvie is a huge asset in affordability to our organization with her skills of advocating for our patients and leading and co-leading many of our outreach programs! She will be with us for one year (at least!). She grew up in Door County and is grateful to be so close to home for the year. In June, she graduated from Carleton College with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science / International Relations and minors in Spanish and Political Economy. Sylvie is considering going to graduate school for something related to public policy or nonprofit work, so this year is a great way for her to gain experience in the nonprofit world. Her favorite thing about working at ADC is seeing how much the staff believes in the mission. Outside of work, Sylvie loves to read, cook, and spend time outside.
